New Prototype In

I got my new materials from in early July, however I was just able to finish up the four sets of Dicetropolis today. I still need to revise the rules a bit and find four Monstras to ad into the sets, but it shouldn't be long before I can get these out for blind testing and reviews.

Painting day.

The scoring and game mats, tiles, dice, and score markers all came from The wood came from Hobby Lobby and the spray paint from Walmart.

I think I am a little over $20 per game in prototyping cost.

Over due playtest pics from July

Here are some playtest pics from July. Need to start taking pictures of the people playing. :)

Three player game yellow player went out first. New Monstra rules being tested.

Four player game with the new Monstra rules being tested.

Two player game. Monstra is still having fun.

Tile Concept Artwork

Here is the concept artwork for a tile.

This is a residential tile with a landmark space.

You probably can't see it but there are a couple people walking on the sidewalk.

New Dice Faces

Here is the concept art for the dice faces (and on the tiles).

Residential - Green / Commercial - Blue / Municipal - Red / Industrial - Yellow / Stop Work Order - Orange / Special Action - Orange

Colors are still to be determined.

New Dice

We finally got the custom dice and can now start playing based on colors not numbers. Yahoo!

Still working on the different symbols to see what will work best. I promise the final buildings on the dice won't look like pencils. :) I also think the bonus permit dice will be black not red.
